Services Provided

Our clinicians at Chester Springs Clinical Associates provide a wide variety of services through our associates' specializations and expertise.  Some of our services are described below, but we believe that all clinical planning must begin with a consultation between therapist and client, and it is during this initial consultation that recommendations are made and service / treatment planning is discussed.

Services include:

    • Clinical consultation
    • Individual, family, and couples psychotherapy
    • Home-based or school-based psychotherapy or behavioral services
    • Psychoeducational or behavioral evaluations
    • Speaking engagements
    • Clinical consultation and clinical supervision for healing professionals
    • ** Group counseling is coming soon **

Clinical Consultation is the initial meeting between a clinician and patient.  It is a time for planning and preparation for services.  It is important that you leave this session with an initial plan, an understanding of the general therapeutic process, a connection with your specific therapist, and information regarding your clinician's fees, office procedures, and expectations of professional care.

Individual therapy (or psychotherapy) involves working on a one-on-one basis with a therapist to plan and to create positive changes in your life. Our private and home-like atmosphere allows clients of all ages to feel comfortable opening up about their concerns. We provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

Couples counseling is designed to help you work through relationship or communication problems and create emotional closeness. We help couples understand the emotional needs of each partner, meet each other’s need, and learn tools to negotiate differences, problem solve and work through conflict in a healthier way to gain and maintain a deeper level of intimacy and closeness.  Premarriage or premarital counseling can help dating or engaged partners understand their differences and resolve differences before marriage, so they can have the tools to create a happy and healthy marriage from the start.

Your therapist may recommend that you meet as a whole family, or also have some supplemental individual appointments to address topics and issues that relate to your family’s therapy work. Individual therapy with children or adolescents will include a family therapy component as part of the treatment plan.  In general, anyone who wants to improve strained family relationships can benefit from family therapy. You can use family therapy to address many specific issues, such as marital and financial problems, conflict between parents and children, and the effects of substance abuse and depression on the entire family.

Psychoeducational assessment is provided in order to help students who are struggling in school, to help parents build strong educaitonal plans for their child, and to assess a student's unique needs and strengths. Behavioral assessments are provided at family request or at the request of school districts.  Such behavioral assessments allow teams to assess the specific behaviors that are interfering with a child's ability to benefit from his academic instruction, assesses the functions of the specific behaviors, and creates plans for behavioral change.

Speaking Engagements - We actively seek out ways to educate our community on mental health and relationship topics and would love to speak for your corporate, school, or community group.
